Our New Normal
It's been almost 2 months since Jack entered this world. WOW! I can't believe he is been with us that long!! During this time, the normal that John and I knew before no longer exists and we are perfectly OK with this! :)
It is now normal...
We absolutely love our son and are truly blessed to have him in our lives. I can't imagine my life without him. I don't even know what it was like before Jack was here. I can only imagine the memories we will make with him throughout the years!
It is now normal...
- to find burpcloths and bibs all over the house
- for me to hang out in my PJ's for the majority (sometimes all) of the day
- for John and/or me to have spit up dried to our clothes (maybe even our skin) at some point during the day (sometimes several times a day)
- to be up everyday around 6:00 am and not go back to sleep til bedtime (NO MORE SLEEPING LATE!!!)
- for Jack to have more clean clothes than either one of his parents
- to be peed on and it's not a big deal at all
- for either one of us to be saying, "I LOVE HIM!" or "SERIOUSLY!! I LOVE HIM!!"
- to speak in a high pitched voice the majority of the day
- to feel a sense of pride when someone asks about Jack is doing; or wants to meet him/hold him
We absolutely love our son and are truly blessed to have him in our lives. I can't imagine my life without him. I don't even know what it was like before Jack was here. I can only imagine the memories we will make with him throughout the years!

Auntie HJ Comes to Visit
This past weekend Jack and I were home alone while Daddy worked at 24 hour shift. Since he was gone, we BEGGED Aunt Holly to come and visit to keep us company. Plus... Jack REALLY missed his Auntie. :)
Here are a few pictures that were taken from my camera while she was here. Holly ended up with better and more pictures. We will post some of those when she emails them to us.

Holly and I attempted to take some video of Jack. We are NO good whatsoever! But here is what we ended up with. We were trying to catch him smiling and talking by the way.
In this video, I take away the burp cloth. Holly thinks it's funny.
Jack shows Holly what's funny... This is why the burp cloth should have stayed put.

More Introductions
After the wedding in Dallas we headed over to Greenville so Jack could meet some more family. This trip was WAY TOO short!! We will have to head that way again sooon!!!
After meeting his Great Grandparents and his Great Great Grandmother, we headed over to see Jack's Grandaddy(my Daddy) and Nana(Daddy's wife). I forgot to bring my camera inside. :( But they took some pictures. Shanna... you'll have to email me the pictures from your camera.
The Chambers/Bruner Wedding
Last Wednesday, Jack and I (along with my Mother-in-law) drove to Dallas for one of my best friend's wedding. The wedding was not until Friday, but we took some time to get Jack settled into another hotel room and spent some time with Paige before things got even busier for her with the wedding. Here are some pictures from the big day!!

Locks of Love
Something I am passionate about is helping others. One way that I enjoy helping other people is by donating my hair. Last Tuesday, I went in and donated 10 inches of my hair to the Locks of Love Foundation. The donated hair provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. If you are interested in donating your hair check out the Locks of Love website.
Here are some guidelines to follow when donating your hair.

Here are some guidelines to follow when donating your hair.
HOW TO DONATE
- 10 inches measured tip to tip is the minimum length needed for a hairpiece.
- Hair must be in a ponytail or braid before it is cut.
- Hair must be clean and completely dry before it is mailed in.
- Place the ponytail or braid inside of a plastic bag, and then inside of a padded envelope.
