6 Months Stats

Yesterday we took Jack in for his 6 months well check.
His stats were:
Height 24 3/4 (25%)
Weight 15 lbs. 7 oz. (25%)

I can't remember his head circumference. Plus the nurse didn't get an accurate measurement. John is very observant. :)

In other news, Jack has his first cold. His name right now is Snotface! Hopefully it doesn't last too long. I don't like hearing him all stopped up and coughing.

Jack is also able to hold his own bottle these days! Rather he is wanting to hold his bottle now.

Happy 6 Months Birthday Jack

Yesterday Jack turned 6 months old!! I say it every month, but seriously... time is flying by way too fast! 6 months is such a fun age! Jack is so interactive and is amazing us with everything that he is learning to do. Jack's well check up is not until next Thursday. I will update you guys with his stats after his appointment. For my camp friends... Daddy obviously dressed him this day! But I couldn't resist putting this picture up. Look how stinkin' cute he is!

What Jack is up to this month:

• sitting with little or no support
• while standing he is starting to move his legs (it's like he finally realized he has some control over them-- it almost looks like he's dancing)
• Jack has two teeth that have cut through
• still sucking on that bottom lip
  
• eating all veggies (squash is his favorite right now)
  
• eating some fruit (bananas and applesauce so far)
• still loving his rice cereal (we are going to try oatmeal soon)
• Jack can play independently for about 15-20 minutes
• still loves sucking on his middle finger and ring finger *signing "I love you"*
• loves sitting in his big boy chair (high chair)
• dropping his last sleep time (between 4 and 7-- I like this because I get more time with him after I get off work)
• the YMCA ladies fight over who gets to hold/play with him while we work out (Proud Momma)

This morning, Jack and I went on a hunt for a pumpkin patch. I have been dying to take pictures of Jack with pumpkins!! :) Low and behold we found one. Enjoy some of the pictures!

In other news...

Jack is beginning to sit up on his own. He can sit up for quite some time without falling over. When he does fall over, he's not sure what to do. He usually just squirms around and plays. He is starting to try and sit back up, but he's just not sure how. It's really neat to see him develop. Before we know it, he will be crawling around and pulling himself up. I'm not ready for that!

Jam Packed Weekend

This has been a busy and fun weekend for the Suchecki family! It started out by Jack and I heading to Grandpa and GG's house on Friday. We hung out with them, Uncle Jim and Aunt Kuohui who came down from Midland to visit. On Saturday Jack, Grandpa, GG, and I went to pick up John from his fire station at 6:30 in the morning. From there we drove downtown to get ready to run the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K. It was A LOT of fun! It was absolutely crazy how many people were there. Thank you to our friends and family who helped me raise $275 in donations. This is definitely something I want to participate in again.

After the race, John, Jack and I headed home to shower and relax for a bit. After showers and naps, Jack and I went to Logan's 1st birthday party. Here is the birthday boy with his parents and his AWESOME cake!!

John did not go to the birthday party with us. He went back to his parents house to watch the Tech game and get ready for another party. Grandpa's 60 1/2 birthday party! Joe's birthday is actually in April. But April was a busy month. Jack was born! :) Jim and Kuohui were planning and getting ready for the wedding in May.

If I remember correctly, his cake actually said "Happy 60 1/2 Birthday Joe!

Today was another big day for Jack. Jack has been eating cereal for a couple of weeks now. He loves it and is getting the hang of eating from a spoon. We have less and less on our face after every feeding. John and I talked about it and said we would start Jack on veggies around 5 months. Well 5 months came along and we didn't start. Another week went by and we talked about it, but still didn't start him on them. Honestly, I was a little nervous about it, so I was putting it off. Well today, almost 2 weeks later than planned, Jack had veggies for the first time. And he LOVES green beans!! He couldn't get enough. I imagined the first time Jack eating veggies we would have it EVERYWHERE. Here is a picture of Jack AFTER eating his green beans. There's hardly anything on his face! He's becoming such a BIG boy!!

Happy 5 Months Birthday Jack (A Day Late)

Jack turned 5 months old yesterday!! Here are some of the pictures with his sock monkey!!







What Jack is up to these days:

• eating rice cereal 3 times a day(at meal times)
• gaining weight (not sure how much since we don't have a dr. appt this month; but the double chin proves that he is gaining weight) :)
  
• sitting with support... he is getting stronger every day though; (he face plants at times)
  
• drank juice for the first time on Tuesday after getting a little stopped up :P (he prefers grape juice over apple)
• still laughing and talking like crazy
• still loves to stand up (getting more sturdy!)
• wearing 3-6 months clothes; size 2 diapers (sleeping in 2-3)
• grabbing for everything in his reach (including momma's hair-- OUCH!!!)
• loves spending most of the days with his Daddy-- Momma is still jealous!
• visiting Momma at work and bringing her lunch
• cradle cap is FINALLY gone
• Jack's hair is finally starting to grow back.
  

Sometime this month we plan on starting the veggies with the Jack Attack. We will see how that goes!! :)

I also have some videos I want to post. However, I can't ever get them posted on here. It takes forever and they never actually load. Any advice?!?!? For my Facebook friends, I am trying to load the videos to Facebook to see if it is any faster.
