Pictures of our Baby at 33 weeks

Today John and I went to the doctor for another ultrasound. Baby J did not want to cooperate one bit. The ultrasound tech was literally chasing him around. She was trying to get good shots of him, but he wouldn't have anything to do with it. He was pretty stubborn today and did not want to show us his face very much. We did not get a very good 3D picture today. However, you can see in the 3D picture how chunky his cheeks are. Sooo stinkin cute!!

As far as his estimate weight, he is approximately 5lbs 4oz right now. However, I have heard that the estimates can be way off sometimes. So only time will tell when he chooses to come, how big he really is.

Here are a few pictures of Baby J from today! It's hard to make out things now since he is so big.
You can see half of his face here.

Our baby boy is flexible!

Here is another face shot. CHECK OUT HIS HAIR!!

Here is another shot of his hair! CRAZY! I wonder what color it will be.

Head and spine shot.

Here is the weird looking 3D picture. It's a profile picture... you can pretty much make out his left eye, nose, and cheek. He has his hand/fingers in his mouth. Check out that chubby cheek!

Shower of Blessings

This past weekend, John and I went to big ol' Mt. Pleasant, Texas for our first baby shower. We are truly blessed with the family and friends that came. It was so nice to spend some time catching up on life. I also enjoyed getting some Mommy advice!! I still have so much to learn. I know everything will come in time though.

I brought my camera, but I did not take that many pictures. My Aunt Sara took lots of pictures and emailed them to me. However, I am brain dead. I downloaded them, but I have NO idea where I saved them. :( Here are the few pictures from my camera.

I love these girls so much! Thank you all for coming and for the wonderful gifts!

Shanna, Daddy, me, and John!

There are 4 generations in this picture. 5 including Baby J!! :)

Baby Suchecki Betting Pool

John and I have put together a betting pool for Baby J. If you are interested, here is a copy of the rules:

Baby J Birthday Betting Pool Rules

This betting pool is for fun and for anyone who is wanting to participate. The winner will receive 75% of the pot. The remaining 25% will be put into a savings fund for Baby J for his future college/life/retirement/health etc… Obviously, the more that enter, the more the potential winnings will be for the lucky individual. The due date (as set by the doctor) is May 2nd. We will not provide any other information regarding the birth as to keep the pool as unbiased as possible. In the event of a scheduled appointment to either induce labor or perform a cesarean birth, we will not divulge this information so that we can protect the integrity of the pool.

1. The price is $10.00 per square.

2. Whoever guesses closest to the delivery date and time will win.

3. The time for each hour will begin at the top of the hour and end one second before the next hour (eg. 7:00:00 to 7:59:59).

4. The dates available are from midnight April 11th to 11:59:59 p.m. May 9th.

5. The “One dollar, Bob” clause: Since the Baby could be born before April 11th or after May 9th, whoever were to choose these bookend slots would receive an unfair advantage. To curtail this, the first eight slots (beginning at midnight on April 11th and ending at 11:59:59 on May 9th) will be priced starting at $50.00 (descending each hour by $5.00) to $10.00 or ascending from $10.00 to $50.00.

6. If you choose to purchase the 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m slot on April 11th for $30.00 and someone else chooses to purchase the 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. slot on the same day for $40.00, you will not receive a refund. So sorry!

7. All picks are final! No changing!....EVER!

8. When you make a selection, write your name across the time on the chosen date and please write your name, the date and time you chose and your phone number on the list in the back of the packet.

9. All money is due when you make a selection. No IOU’s!

Let us know if you are interested so that we can work something out. Hope everyone is doing great and we are getting excited!!!

29 week Dr. Appt and Nursery

Yesterday we went to my doctors appointment just for a regular check up. I had only gained 4 lbs! I was VERY excited about that! We got back the results from the glucose tolerance test and all of the blood levels, sugar levels, and whatever other levels there are were in the normal range! So no 3 hour glucose tolerance test. No gestational diabetes. I am VERY thankful for that. My doctor did measure me again and I am only measuring about a week ahead. She said that was normal as well and that everything was looking great.

As far as how I'm feeling. Besides getting tired really easy and being ready for bed by about 5:00 every afternoon/evening, I am feeling really good! Baby J is moving all the time and I just love to feel him move around in there. Right now, I don't even mind when he kicks me in the rib. :) It's just an amazing feeling! It's absolutely amazing how God created our bodies to carry another human being. I am just overwhelmed with what is going on. But overwhelmed in a good way! :)

We go back to the Dr. in 3 weeks and then an ultrasound in 4 weeks to determine the location of the placenta. After that, I will see my Dr. every 2 weeks until Baby J decides to make his appearance into the world. I feel like he will be here before we know it.

John has been working on the nursery. It is still a work in progress. I will leave you some pictures with the amazing work he has done so far! I am truly blessed to have an amazingly creative husband!

The room before paint.

Before the chair railing. The blue is "100 Acre Morning" and the yellow is "Tigger's Tummy" (Disney colors!)

After the chair railing. John has done all of this work on his own. He's GOOD!! He is actually drawing different characters on the wall. Below you will see two of the drawings he has done.

I told you he is good!

I wish I was creative as he is.

There are lots more drawings, they were just hard to take pictures of. He is ready to start painting the characters. When he is finished, I will post new pictures!

Livin' on Love

This past weekend I had the opportunity to participate in a special celebration of love. My great grandparents celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. It was such a blessing to see them. I don't get to see them very often since we live so far apart. But the quick/short trip up there was WAY WORTH IT!! I loved getting to see them, but also getting to catch up with other family members as well. Here are some pictures from their party.

Here they are, my Gram and Ene.

I had to take a picture with them as well.

There are 5 generations in this picture!

My grandparents and my pregnant self.

My Daddy and his brother with their Kindergarten teacher.

For my Aunt Sara! :)

Here are some more belly pics as requested by my Aunt Sara! :)

25 weeks

25 weeks

27 weeks. I'm not sure why I thought it was a good idea to take pictures this morning. I look absolutely amazing!! haha

27 weeks. It's official... I can't see my feet!

There's no doubt. Our baby boy is getting bigger and bigger everyday!! I had a dr. appt last week and everything is still going well. Next week I go in for my glucose tolerance test. WOOHOO!! After that just another check up with my dr. and then at 33 weeks we go for another ultrasound. I'm excited at the thought of seeing our baby boy again!!

I love my firefighter!!

Yes, it has been quite some time, but I am here. For now anyways! :)

I know I posted about John graduating from the Houston Fire Academy but I wanted to post some pictures from his graduation. He has officially started at his station and is loving it. I am so proud of him! It's really different with him working 24 hour shifts. It will take some time for me to get used to.

The official graduation day was January 8th. To start the day, we met at the Fire Academy where some of the cadets demonstrated some of their firefighting skills. After that, we were given a tour of the academy by John and then had some bbq for lunch.

The Christmas Tree fire.
Can you see the guys on the other side of the fog pattern/water?

After John gave us the tour, I made him stop and take pictures.

Before eating some BBQ.

After experiencing the fire academy it was time to go home and get ready for the graduation ceremony at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
